This 1949 Chevy Sedan Delivery is having some separation issues, but not to worry, it will be getting its new chassis test fit tomorrow along with a nice little small block to replace the original straight six. Just a body swap for this already complete and classy '49 stay tuned for pictures and videos of the beauty. ... See MoreSee Less

Welder/Frame Fabricator Wanted!!!

We are looking for an experienced MIG and TIG welder to join our team here at CHRI to build custom frames. This is a full time position, you MUST be able to work 40hrs a week Monday to Friday and have reliable transportation.

Job Requirements: MIG welding experience is a must. The ability to TIG weld Stainless Steel and Aluminum is an asset. Experience with hand tools (grinders, cut off wheels, drills etc.), must be able to read a tape measure and follow drawings.

Job responsibilities will include but not limited to: Following lists and gathering parts to build Custom Hot Rod frames, taking those parts and tack welding them into frame specific jigs and Mig welding the parts together to create a frame. You will also have to gather parts to build sub assembly crossmemebers to go in the middle of the frame. You will then have to grind excess weld material off the frame rails and crossmembers to a very fine smooth finish for powder coating. This position requires a great amount of attention to detail while being able to get frames built in a timely fashion. Must be able to think outside the box and sometimes create and design parts from scratch. Almost every frame requires some parts to be TIG welded on. Welding in tight spots, overhead and vertical welds are required on almost every frame. We also build Stainless Steel Gas Tanks and full Stainless Steel Exhaust in house, we also on occasion have to build custom headers so a strong TIG welding background with stainless and normal steel is a big asset. Another responsibility will be to build, fix and maintain jig tables and jigs, as well as maintaining hand tools and keeping your area clean and organized.

Wage is negotiable and depends on experience and is subject to the probation period.

3 month probation period, on the job training will be provided but all applicants must have prior MIG welding experience, again, TIG experience is a big asset but not 100% needed, training can be provided to the successful candidate if they are interested.

Please email all resumes to info@canadianhotrodsinc.com or drop resumes off in person for an on the spot interview. We prefer to meet you in person to show you around and talk face to face about what we do and see if you will be a good fit for our crew.

Our address is: 4439-C Trans Canada Hwy Tappen, BC (we are located directly behind the White Post Auto Museum)
